Cheryl has been involved with the company since its beginnings in 1992. Working at tastings and local wine dinners throughout college allowed Cheryl to begin developing her palate and her love for fine wines. Cheryl’s current responsibilities include overseeing the entire Clos LaChance portfolio while focusing on managing wholesale sales worldwide. She is also in charge of overall marketing for the Clos LaChance brand, the tasting room and events. Cheryl came to Clos LaChance from Alexander Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, a high-tech communications agency, where she was an account manager. Prior to her position at Alexander, Cheryl’s initial introduction to the marketing world was at a small advertising and PR agency located in San Jose, CA. Cheryl graduated with a BA from the University of San Diego, majoring in business marketing with a minor in mass media communications. Cheryl received her OIV Wine Marketing Program certificate from the University of California at Davis Extension program in the summer of 1999. In 2005, Cheryl took and passed the introductory level course to the Court of Master Sommeliers. Cheryl is currently broadening her wine knowledge with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (www.wset.co.uk). She passed the Intermediate Certificate Course with Distinction in May of 2006, and is planning to take the Advanced and Diploma Certificate Courses in the near future. In her free time, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, A.J and Lila, skiing, reading and drinking wine with her husband and friends. |
