Chas Harvick is a director in FTI’s Corporate Finance practice and is based in Phoenix. Over the last six years, Mr. Harvick has specialized in financial consulting involving complex claims and events in a variety of areas including damage analysis, settlement claims administration, compliance matters, restructuring issues, and database analysis and design. Mr. Harvick has provided advisory services for clients across diverse industries including transportation, financial services, government and insurance.
Mr. Harvick is currently leading a team of FTI personnel providing financial advisory services to a large franchise lender and their outside counsel in connection with secured creditor impaired property insurance policies. The project involves reviewing various insurance, litigation, loan and securitization documents; conducting interviews with key personnel to fully understand the business and claim-related issues; analyzing reports and reviewing loan documents to determine the outstanding balance of a debtor-in-possession (DIP) loan to a large bankrupt convenience store company; and documenting the lender’s procedures and reporting requirements to bond holders resulting from the lender’s securitization and servicing of pooled loans.
Mr. Harvick has also recently provided financial advisory services to a large franchise lender regarding the restructuring of approximately $25 million in loans involving two default borrowers in the convenience store industry. Work included review and modification of a financial model provided by the borrower’s financial advisor, preparation of sensitivity and loan impairment analyses and preparation of a FASB 114 calculation.
Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Harvick spent a year and a half in the Forensic practice of KPMG’s Phoenix office and three years in the Value Solutions practice at Arthur Andersen.
Mr. Harvick holds a B.S. in business administration with a concentration in finance from Northern Arizona University. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. |
