Charlotte P. Armstrong is a member of Brock Capital Group LLC and a Senior Consultant at the Ross Companies. The Ross Companies provide advice to management or to boards and compensation committees on senior executive employment arrangements, performance evaluation and succession planning; and directors’ compensation. They also provide advice to management, boards and governance committees on corporate governance and board organization, functions and accountability.
Previously, Ms. Armstrong was a lawyer at the Law Offices of Joseph E. Bachelder, where she handled the negotiation of senior-level employment and compensation arrangements and the application of business, securities and tax laws to senior executive compensation.
She has worked at KPMG LLP as Director of Practice development and Technical Resources for Human Resources Consulting Group. She has also served as Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Vice President at at The Equitable Life Assurance Society, where she provided legal advice to operating departments of the company. Ms. Armstrong was an Associate in the Corporate Department of Cravath, Swaine & Moore, and a Trial Attorney in the Tax Division at the United States Department of Justice.
Boards on which Ms. Armstrong currently serves include the American Farm School in Greece, the American Trust for the British Library, the English-Speaking Union of the United States, Mille Capital Corporation, the National Institute of Social Sciences, The Cosmopolitan Club, and Harvard University. She has previously served on the Boards of the Mount Vernon Hotel Museum, the Harvard Club of New York City, the Harvard Alumni Association, the Radcliffe Club of New York, the Community Service Society of New York, and the Council for Career Planning. Ms. Armstrong is also a Fellow at the Frick Collection and the Pierpont Morgan Library.
Ms. Armstrong received an A.B. cum laude from Radcliffe College, an A.M. in Public Law and Government from Columbia University, and an L.L.B from Harvard Law School. |
