Charlie Armiger is Vice President of Program Development and Sales at SpeedInfo. In this role, he is responsible for developing strategic business relationships with data aggregation partners and focusing on the sales of real-time traffic data and network operations. SpeedInfo has developed a highly-accurate approach for directly measuring traffic flow on any roadway, based on attaching wireless, solar-powered Doppler radar to existing light or signage poles. It is also the lowest-cost solution available. SpeedInfo customers include State Departments of Transportation, mass media organizations (such as news organizations that report traffic), traffic aggregators and mobile applications developers. Charlie has a 22-year track record of building and managing sales and support organizations, distribution systems and marketing programs in both startup and established companies. Before joining SpeedInfo, Charlie served as Vice President of Sales for Novariant from 2004 to 2005, where he grew the business more than 60 percent in one year. Before that, from 2001-2004, Charlie held the position of Senior Vice President of Global Sales for Cyra Technologies where he was responsible for adding 15 new channel distribution partners worldwide, and increasing sales by 76 percent in his first year. From 1989-2001, he held several positions at Trimble Navigation Ltd. During his tenure there, Charlie managed worldwide company sales, assisted distributors with planning and development and developed new business opportunities for Trimble GPS products. Sales grew from $19M to $286M over the period. Earlier in his career, Charlie served as a Sales and Marketing Manager for ARNAV Systems where he was responsible for Marketing and Sales through over 600 aviation electronics dealers, worldwide. Charlie holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in General Business from Excelsior College. |
