Bio: Fr. Chuck Thompson was born in Louisville, KY, on April 11, 1961. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Bellarmine College in Louisville in May 1983. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Saint Meinrad School of Theology in May, 1987. He was ordained a Priest for the Archdiocese of Louisville on May 30, 1987. Fr. Chuck served three years as an Associate Pastor of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral, in Bardstown, KY. In August 1990, he began studies in Canon Law and earned a JCL from St. Paul University, in Ottawa, Canada, in May 1992. He served as Judicial Vicar and Director of Tribunals from April 1993 until June 1998. Among various other assignments to parishes and committees, Fr. Chuck has served as Pastor of St. Augustine Parish, in Lebanon, Ky., from June 1996 until June 2002 and as Pastor of Holy Trinity Parish, in Louisville, from June 2002 until the present. In addition to his current parish assignment, he serves as chaplain to Sacred Heart Academy, Promoter of Justice and Tribunal Judge. He has served as a Visiting Professor of Canon Law at Saint Meinrad School of Theology from August 2002 until the present. |
