As a senior associate consultant for Noel-Levitz, Dr. Charles Schroeder offers more than two decades of experience as an administrator, writer, and consultant on student affairs and the student experience. Dr. Schroeder has consulted with more than 100 institutions throughout North America.
Previous campus experience: Dr. Schroeder served in student affairs positions for 22 years, most recently as vice president for student affairs at North Georgia College and State University. He also served as chief student affairs officer at the University of Missouri Columbia, Mercer University (GA), St. Louis University (MO), and Georgia Institute of Technology. At Missouri, Dr. Schroeder was a professor of higher education as well.
Publications, associations, and education: A prolific writer and editor, Dr. Schroeder has published more than 60 books and articles on higher education. Among his many publications, he edited (with Phyllis Mable) Realizing the Educational Potential of Residence Halls (1994), co-authored Achieving and Sustaining Institutional Excellence for the First Year of College (2005), and was a contributor to Student Success in College: Creating Conditions That Matter (2005). He is founder and first executive editor of the bi-monthly About Campus: Enriching the Student Learning Experience. In 1995, he served as the guest editor for a special edition of the Journal of College Student Development that focused on student learning.
Dr. Schroeder served two terms as president of the American College Personnel Association (ACPA). In recognition of his contributions to higher education, the ACPA awarded him the Esther Lloyd-Jones Professional Service Award and the Contribution to Knowledge Award. Dr. Schroeder received his doctorate in education from Oregon State University. |
