An eight-year veteran of Forrester Research Charles is the chief operating officer. He oversees Forrester's global operations and works with Chairman and CEO George F. Colony to implement the company's worldwide strategy. Working with George Charles managed the launch of the company's role-based strategy earlier this year and leads Forrester's client group organizational structure. He continues to supervise the growth of Forrester's 18 role-based offerings to IT marketing and strategy and technology industry professionals. Through his tenure Charles has managed nearly all of the company's primary offerings including research consulting events and peer-to-peer executive programs. He has been a member of Forrester's executive team since 2006.
Previously Charles served as president Forrester Americas overseeing three-quarters of Forrester's client base in North Central and South America.
Prior to his most recent roles Charles served as vice president in charge of Forrester's Americas community business. In this position he led Forrester Events and the Forrester Leadership Boards the company's executive membership programs in the Americas.
Before that Charles managed Forrester's consulting offerings in the Americas. Until then he spent several years directing a variety of Forrester's research teams overseeing coverage of topics including security computing platforms networking storage and management infrastructure.
Charles joined Forrester from PriceWaterhouse Management Consulting Services where he was a principal consultant specializing in networking and security. As a member of the PriceWaterhouse Global Systems Solutions Center he analyzed and implemented next-generation technology for many of the firm's largest clients. During his tenure at the firm he wrote a best-selling book Windows NT Security.
Charles has had wide exposure in national and international media including The McNeil-Lehrer News Hour ABC NBC MSNBC CNBC Bloomberg NPR and Canadian radio news.
Charles holds a B.A. in economics from Hobart College and an M.B.A. in strategic and entrepreneurial management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. |
