Charles Rosenberg is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Los Angeles office. He is a member of the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department, where his practice focuses on complex commercial and intellectual property cases, with particular emphasis on high-tech patent cases. He advises clients on and has handled cases involving patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights and other types of intellectual property.
Charles has extensive experience in complex commercial and intellectual property litigation. He has litigated patents involving high technology, as well as matters involving trademark, trade secret, copyright and other types of intellectual property. Charles uses his litigation expertise and technical knowledge in counseling clients in all phases of his law practice. He utilizes his considerable technical knowledge and litigation skill in counseling clients in anticipation of litigation as well as in all phases of any ongoing litigation.
From 1984-1985, Charles served as law clerk and technical advisor to the Honorable Jean Galloway Bissell, Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. From 1983-1984, Charles served as a patent examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering.
Charles is a member of the California and District of Columbia Bars and is registered with the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts in California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
