Charles Lynn Lowder is our executive vice president administration and chief compliance officer. Prior to joining Submarina, he was a senior trial lawyer with DLA Piper, concentrating on corporate law and securities litigation. Lynn brings to bear an intimate understanding of numerous business issues such as operations, profitability, facilities, labor relations and marketing due to his experience as a corporate officer. He has served as chief operating officer at Colt's Manufacturing (Colt Firearms), an $80 million international company with 550 employees, and as executive vice president and general counsel for Mail Boxes Etc. Between 1967 and 1983, Lynn served in the U.S. Marine Corps, rising from the rank of private to major. His service included ten years in the infantry and six years as a judge advocate. He earned several distinguished awards, including the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart, for combat service in Vietnam. Lynn s combat service is highlighted in two books, First Force Recon Company: Sunrise at Midnight by Dr. Bill Peters and Inside Force Recon: Recon Marines in Vietnam by Michael Lee Lanning and Ray William Stubbe. In addition, his post-Marine Corps civilian accomplishments are profiled in the book, Above & Beyond: Former Marines Conquer The Civilian World by Rudy Socha and Carolyn Darrow. An author and public speaker, Lynn has spoken to health care, insurance, military and other organizations. In addition, he has been a board member for several profit and non-profit entities. |
