Charles Kushner,Chairman of Kushner Companies has been instrumental in the firm's phenomenal growth and diversification. Mr. Kushner earned a J.D. from Hofstra Law School and an M.B.A. from New York University in 1979. Until January 1985, he was a partner in the law firm of Brach, Eichler, Rosenberg, Silver, Bernstein, Hammer & Gladstone, located in Roseland, N.J.
In 1999, Mr. Kushner received the New Jersey Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and in 2000 he was recognized with the National Conference for Community and Justice Humanitarian of the Year Award. A committed philanthropist, he is active in and supports numerous civic and industry organizations. He was responsible for the development and construction of a new campus for the Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy and Kushner Yeshiva high School, in memory of his late father. Among other honors, he was appointed to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council by President Clinton, was honored with a Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Yeshiva University, and serves on the board of New York University. |
