Charles Hand is president of the New York Metro region for Verizon Wireless, a position he has held since the company was formed in 2000. He is responsible for sales, marketing, customer service, retail stores and expansion of the nation’s most reliable wireless network in 21 counties in New York and northern and central New Jersey, including Long Island and New York City’s five boroughs.
For the past 19 years, Hand has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibility within Verizon Wireless and its legacy companies. From 1998 to 2000 Hand was president of Bell Atlantic Mobile’s New York Metro region. Earlier, he served as vice president of retail sales and operations in the New York Metro area and vice president of customer service in northern New Jersey and Philadelphia.
