Charlie Gray has been Vice President and General Counsel of Sonus Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: SONS), a supplier of voice over IP (VoIP) infrastructure solutions for telecommunications service providers, since September 2002. Prior to Sonus, Charlie served as General Counsel of Appian Communications, a private, optical access networking company and as General Counsel of ArrowPoint Communications, a web switching company, through its initial public offering and its $5.7 billion acquisition by Cisco Systems. Charlie was Associate General Counsel at Wang Global from 1996 through its $1.8 billion acquisition by Getronics, a Dutch computer services company, in 1999. He began his career as a trial attorney at Hale and Dorr from 1988 to 1996, where he specialized in technology and antitrust litigation. Prior to entering private practice, he clerked for The Honorable J. Lawrence Irving in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
