Chuck Elcan was named Executive Vice President - Medical Office Properties on October 2, 2003. Prior to that date, he served as Chief Executive Officer and President of MedCap Properties LLC, a real estate company located in Nashville, TN that owned, operated and developed real estate in the healthcare field. (HCP acquired MedCap Properties LLC in October 2003.) From 1992 to 1997, Chuck was a founder and investor in Behavioral Healthcare Corporation (now Ardent Health Services) a healthcare company that owns and operates psychiatric and acute care hospitals. He currently serves on the Board of Directors and sits on the Audit and Compensation Committees of Rex Stores Corporation, a specialty retailer in the consumer electronics/appliance industry. Chuck also serves on the Board of Directors and sits on the compensation committee of Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant Group, a private owner and operator of boutique hotels based in San Francisco, California. |
