Charles is considered America’s foremost authority in railroad security with over 40 years of industry experience. He is a senior technical advisor at RailSecure and sits on the Board of Advisors of the Mobius Security Group.Serving with distinction as the Executive Vice President for Safety and Operations at the Association of American Railroads, Charles worked closely with federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies on behalf of Association members. Following the terror attacks of September 11, 2001, he provided highly-acclaimed leadership in safeguarding the rail industry through partnerships with top civilian and military security leaders. Prior to his work at the AAR, Charles spent nearly 25 years in high-level positions with the Union Pacific and Missouri Pacific railroads. During his tenure, he negotiated open border agreements and successfully addressed hazardous material transport by spearheading coalitions and helping write federal legislation for safer operations.Charles received an industrial engineering degree from Georgia Tech and attended the Harvard Business School. |
