Dr. Charles Antzelevitch is the executive director and director of research at the Masonic Medical Research Laboratory, an internationally prominent biomedical research institute. Throughout his professional life, Dr. Antzelevitch has been at the forefront of experimental cardiology research, particularly the electrical function of the heart and factors that contribute to the development of abnormal rhythms. He has authored more than 265 original papers and book chapters, and more than 230 abstracts. Dr. Antzelevitch is a member of and has served as chairman of a number of committees at the National Institutes of Health, the American Heart Association, the North American Society for Pacing and Electrophysiology and the Heart Rhythm Society. |
