Charlie Graham is vice president of Lyondell Chemical Company and executive vice president of Lyondell Asia Pacific. He is responsible for day-to-day activities and works with Dr. Charles C. Yang, chairman and president of Lyondell Asia Pacific, to explore strategic options for Lyondell in the region.
Previously Graham was vice president, Olefins & Aromatics, for Lyondell, and earlier served as vice president, Sales (Olefins, Aromatics and Fuels). He also held the position of vice president, Marketing, for the polymers division of Lyondell after its acquisition of Occidental Chemical's HDPE business in May 1995. Prior to the acquisition, he had filled a similar role with Occidental Chemical.
Graham started his career with Union Carbide as a sales representative in their polyethylene division in Cincinnati, Ohio. He moved into a manufacturing role as department head of services (Distribution, Production Planning, Quality Control and HS&E) at Union Carbide’s Taft, La., facility, later moved to Chicago as regional sales manager for polyethylene and then to Danbury, Conn., as worldwide associate director of Licensing for Union Carbide’s Unipol PE & PP technology.
Graham received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky in 1975 and did work towards a master’s degree in marketing at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. |
