Professional Experience
Mr. Cohen specializes in land development and land use law representing public and private entities in the development of commercial, residential, industrial and institutional projects in numerous southern California cities and counties. His experience involves virtually every aspect of the land development process, from large communities master land planning and design through administrative and municipal law, land and project acquisitions and dispositions, and litigation. Mr. Cohen is also counsel to public school districts regarding reorganization, acquisition of school sites, disposition of surplus property and master planning.
Mr. Cohen is one of Southern California´s most well known and well-respected land developmentspecialists and has been a highly involved citizen of Ventura County for 40 years, formerly serving as Thousand Oaks Planning Commissioner, City Councilmember and Mayor and as a director Emeritus of the Alliance for the Arts, New West Symphony Director, President - Casa Pacifica, former Chair, Conejo-Las Virgenes Future Foundation, Advisory Council to KCLU-FM (California Lutheran University) and Chair of the Civic Arts Plaza Founders Circle.
