Chuck Hughes is a partner in the Corporate and Securities Department. He has been practicing law since 1976 when he joined Chapman and Cutler LLP. His practice is focused on business and corporate matters, including representation of substantial privately held companies and their principals. He has considerable experience in the area of bank and bank holding company mergers and acquisitions and regulatory matters, including advising banking organizations concerning corporate structure and shareholder issues, expanded powers and compliance. Mr. Hughes taught financial institution regulation as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois College of Law in 1996 and 1997. He is the author of "Regulation and Structure of Traditional Banking Activities," Banking Law and Regulation, Practising Law Institute, 1988.
