Charley was born and reared in Indianapolis, Indiana, and attended the University of Notre Dame, where he was an honor student. Charley graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in accountancy. After graduation, Charley joined a large accounting firm’s Indianapolis practice where he earned his CPA designation. Prior to joining GranthamPoole, Charley served for five years as a chief financial officer. As a partner with GranthamPoole, Charley provides auditing and other attestation services to a variety of clients. His background includes extensive experience in all types of insurance operations, medical delivery and financing systems, and non-profit organizations. Charley is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute, an organization of life insurance professionals. Charley is a licensed CPA in Mississippi and Indiana, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Mississippi Society of CPAs. In 2004, he was awarded the Outstanding Public Service award by the Mississippi Society of CPAs. Charley also holds membership in the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and currently serves as Treasurer of the Central Mississippi Chapter of Certified Fraud Examiners. In his free time, Charley enjoys coaching youth baseball and basketball. In addition, he and his wife, Peggi, serve as short-term foster care parents. The Rafferty family attends Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Madison, where Charley teaches youth Sunday school. |
