Charles L. (Chuck) Sinclair was named senior vice president global communications of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in June 2003. Sinclair is responsible for leading Goodyear's global team of communications professionals in the execution of a communications strategy and providing counsel to senior leadership on issues impacting the company.
Previously Sinclair led communications for Goodyear's North American Tire business for more than six years as vice president public relations and communications since February 2002 and prior to that as director public relations beginning in January 1997.
Sinclair joined Goodyear in 1984 as public relations manager at the company's Engineered Products plant in Lincoln Nebraska.
He moved to Goodyear's corporate headquarters in Akron Ohio in 1987 as publications editor and was named public relations manager general products in 1990. He was named manager public relations North American Tire in 1992 and manager public affairs in 1993. Sinclair became Goodyear's manager national media relations in 1995.
Prior to joining Goodyear Sinclair was a sports reporter and columnist for the Journal and Star newspaper in Lincoln Nebraska.
Sinclair was born in Rock Rapids Iowa on June 23 1951. He is an alumnus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and completed the Mahler executive leadership program as well as those at Morehouse College in Atlanta Georgia and the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro North Carolina. |
