Charles L. Atwood, 57, has been an Equity Residential Trustee since July 2003. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: HET), a public owner and operator of gaming
facilities. He has been with Harrah’s and its predecessor companies since 1979. Mr. Atwood received his M.B.A. in finance from Tulane University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants. At Harrah's Mr. Atwood oversees all of the company's strategic growth initiatives including development, design and construction functions as well as the risk-management organizations including strategic sourcing, internal audit, enterprise risk management and security, surveillance and investigations. Mr. Atwood served as Harrah's Chief Financial Officer from 2001 to 2006. |
