Charles K. Herman, Medical Director of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Pocono Medical Center, was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. His academic appointment is a result of his excellent academic credentials, numerous publications in national and international journals, and clinical research activities.
Dr. Herman has performed many charitable works in the community, including surgery on children who have suffered facial injuries as a result of accidents, but could not afford corrective reconstructive work. He has also helped the Pocono Health Foundation raise money through the Annual Golf and Tennis Benefit.
Dr. Herman is the author of a multiplicity of textbook chapters and journal articles, including: recent articles on body contouring in patients who have massive weight loss, an article on breast lift and reduction, a chapter on microsurgical nerve repair, and a chapter on nutrition in surgical patients in a textbook that is used in many medical schools across the United States. |
