Charles H. Kachmarik, Jr. has over 30 years experience in the healthcare industry. He was previously a partner at Deloitte & Touche, where he was responsible for the firm’s Healthcare Solutions practice in the New York metropolitan region. Before joining Deloitte & Touche, Mr. Kachmarik was President of Sterling Health Capital Management, which was subsequently acquired by Deloitte. Earlier, he was a partner at Coopers & Lybrand, where he was responsible for the firm’s East Coast Health Consulting practice. Mr. Kachmarik’s prior engagements include feasibility studies, operational reviews, benchmarking studies, development of turnaround strategies, revenue cycle services, merger and affiliation strategies, information system reviews and other consulting assignments for an array of healthcare institutions, including Victory Memorial Hospital, Maimonides Medical Center, Montefiore Medical Center, St. Vincent Catholic Medical Center, Episcopal Health Services, Long Beach Medical Center, Ellis Hospital, Phelps Memorial Hospital, Lawrence Hospital Center, Brooklyn Hospital, Manhattan Eye and Ear Hospital, Nassau County Medical Center, Brookdale Medical Center and Jamaica Hospital. He has consulted extensively to the HUD 242 financing program on troubled hospitals and turnaround strategies. As a member of HUD’s Council of Experts, he has advised HUD on numerous troubled situations. Mr. Kachmarik is a CPA and was previously an audit partner covering the healthcare industry. He is a past chairman of the New York State Society of CPA’s Health Care Committee, and has a BA in Accounting and an MS in Management Science from the State University of New York at Binghamton. |
