Mr. Phillips has served as a partner at, and the chief operating officer of Prentice Capital Management, a private investment management firm that specializes in the retail/consumer sector. Mr. Phillips served as president of Gleacher Partners, an investment banking and private equity firm, from 1997 to 2001, and was a managing director of that firm from 2001 until his retirement in 2002. Prior to joining Gleacher Partners, Mr. Phillips held senior positions at other leading investment banking firms, including nine years at Morgan Stanley where he served as a managing director within the investment banking division; and founded and led that firm's high yield finance activities. Mr. Phillips has served as a director of California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. since November 2000. Mr. Phillips has previously served as a director of several public and private companies and investment funds and serves on the governing bodies of a number of educational and non-profit organizations. |
