Chares F. Baacke, Jr., Executive Vice President of First Financial Holdings, Inc., also serves as Executive Vice President of Lending and Credit Administration of First Federal of Charleston having been named to this position in January 1995. He served as Senior Vice President of First Financial Holdings, Inc., and Senior Vice President of Lending and Credit Administration of First Federal of Charleston having been named to this position in January 1995. A graduate of the Citadel, he joined First Federal in 1975, has previously held the position of Vice President of Lending Operations and was named Senior Vice President of the Production Division of First Federal in 1987.He has been involved in numerous organizations such as the Trident Association of Realtors, the Commercial Division of Trident Association of Realtors, Mortgage Bankers of America, Mortgage Bankers of the Carolinas, Mortgage Bankers of Charleston and South Carolina Bankers Association. He serves on the Boards of Windwood Farm Home for Children, Coastal Council of Boy Scouts of America, Board of Trustees for Trident Technical College Foundation, the Advisory Board for SCANA and the Bishop Gadsden Development Committee. He is active in the Executive Association of Greater Charleston, Grace Episcopal Church and Carolina Yacht Club. He recently completed board service with Charleston Day School, Mt. Pleasant Scholarship Foundation, Junior Achievement of Coastal S. C., St. Andrews Day School, Advisory Board of Junior League of Charleston and the Charleston Tennis Club. |
