Charles E. Hallberg founded MemberHealth, Inc. (MHRx) in 1998, bringing over 25 years of pharmaceutical industry leadership to the Company. Mr. Hallberg's experience has allowed him to grow MemberHealth into a leading Prescription Benefit Management (PBM) company, and the nation’s fourth largest Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan.
His overall business philosophy of transparency sets MemberHealth apart from the competition, offering innovative products with consumer driven formularies, designed to provide members with the most cost effective, therapeutically appropriate, prescription drug care.
These innovative products are needed, as demonstrated by MemberHealth’s winning of the #10 slot on the 2006 Inc 500 list of fastest growing companies.
As vice president of marketing and sales and a principal for Continental Managed Pharmacy, Mr. Hallberg was responsible for the administration of an integrated prescription benefit mail service pharmacy, product design, implementation procedures, and sales management. He also founded Automated Scripts Net, a national PBM company.
Mr. Hallberg served as executive vice president, administration, general counsel and secretary at General Computer Corporation (now MedE AMERICA CORPORATION; acquired by WebMD). Previously he served as Corporate Counsel for Revco D.S., Inc. where his responsibilities included general corporate law, employee benefits, merger and acquisitions, FDA manufacturing compliance and intellectual property law.
A Finalist in the 2006 and 2007 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year competition, Mr. Hallberg remains focused on continued growth of the company.
Mr. Hallberg earned his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Massachusetts and his juris doctorate degree from Case Western Reserve University. He is a member of the State of Ohio and Federal bars. |
