Mr. Meeker represents clients in civil trials and administrative hearings. These representations include:
Local government issues, including public finance, governmental authority and ad valorem taxation
Commercial litigation and construction disputes
Mr. Meeker's experience includes document and deposition discovery, pre-trial motions, hearings and trials and appeals to state and federal appellate courts. His practice includes regulatory work before state commissions and boards, including representation of counties before the Property Tax Commission.
Mr. Meeker was elected to his fourth two-year term as mayor of Raleigh in 2007. He was first sworn in as the City of Raleigh's Mayor on December 3, 2001. He previously served as a member of the Raleigh City Council for eight years from 1985-1989 and 1991-1995. |
