Charles Friedman joined the Firm as a partner in 2003 and is a member of the Firm’s Transactional Department and Corporate, Securities, Investment Funds and Real Estate Practice Groups.
Mr. Friedman has a diverse transactional practice representing public and privately-held companies in the technology, manufacturing, distributing, services and e-commerce sectors, as well as venture capital, angel and hedge funds, senior executives and individual investors. Since 1985, his practice has included structuring, negotiating and documenting a broad range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions of public and privately held businesses, real estate and corporate joint ventures, venture capital and PIPE transactions and other equity and debt financings (including both public offerings and private placements), and other corporate, securities and commercial transactions. Mr. Friedman also has extensive experience advising senior management and boards of directors of both early stage and mature companies with respect to securities compliance, corporate governance, and other day-to-day and transactional legal matters.
Prior to joining Duval & Stachenfeld, Mr. Friedman was a partner at Morrison & Foerster LLP (1998-2003). Mr. Friedman had previously been a partner at Zimet, Haines, Friedman & Kaplan, a corporate boutique firm.
Mr. Friedman is admitted to practice law in New York.
