Mr. Charles B. Tomm is President and Chief Executive Officer of Asbury’s Florida Region which includes Coggin Automotive Group, and Courtesy Automotive Group Tampa. Mr. Tomm joined the Coggin group in April 1994 as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel. He became Executive Vice President of Coggin in January 1996, and assumed his present responsibilities for Coggin in September 1997. Mr Tomm assumed the responsibility for Courtesy Automotive Group Tampa in January 2005. Mr. Tomm has a broad and varied business background. He has held executive positions with publicly held companies including Schlumberger Ltd. and Arkansas Best Corporation, as well as positions as a practicing attorney, investment banker, adjunct law school professor, and diver and officer in the Submarine Service from 1968 to 72 on the Navy's only troop-carrying submarine. Mr. Tomm is a member of the Board of Trustees of Washington & Lee University, a director of Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville, Inc. (HabiJax) and a Vice Chair of the Jacksonville Housing Authority. Mr. Tomm received his undergraduate degree and law degree from Washington & Lee University and a L.L.M. in Taxation from New York University. He has been admitted to practice law in Florida, Georgia, New York and North Carolina. |
