Charles McFadden, 61, was born in Monroe, NC, and grew up in Fort Mill, SC. He has a B.S. Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of South Carolina. He joined South Carolina Electric & Gas
Company in July 1969 as Personnel Assistant. McFadden has spent most of his career in the Human Resource area. In 1987, he transferred to SCANA as V.P. - Strategic Planning and Corporate Services.
Returning to SCE&G in 1989 as Vice President (V.P.) - Human Resources and Corporate Communication, he later became V.P. of Customer Relations for the Southern Division in June 1991. He went on to serve as
V.P. of Customer Service and as V.P. of Electric Service. On October 1, 1997, he became V.P. of Governmental Affairs and Economic Development, SCANA Corporation and in February 2003, he was
appointed Senior Vice President of Governmental Affairs and Economic Development, SCANA Corporation.
McFadden currently is the S.C. Chamber of Commerce Legislative Agenda Task Force Chairman and is a member of the Palmetto Agribusiness Board, the S.C. Dept. of Commerce Crescent Fund Board and the S.C. Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee.
