Career: Mr. Harvey began his career with Philip Morris. He joined Johnson Controls in 1977 as a professional technical recruiter and served in other corporate human resources management positions. He later held positions of increasing responsibility before being named group vice president of human resources worldwide, for Automotive Experience, where he directed human resources activities for the automotive business throughout the world. He was responsible for expanding the global capabilities of the group in recruitment, training and development, compensation and employee relations. Mr. Harvey supervised the company’s regional human resources leaders in Asia, Europe, North America and South America. He was named to his current position in January, 2006. His responsibilities include leadership of workforce and supplier diversity initiatives, community relations efforts and public affairs programs, including the Johnson Controls Foundation.
Awards, Recognition and Service: Mr. Harvey currently serves on the board for the National Conference for Community and Justice.
Education and Background: Mr. Harvey earned a Bachelor of Science in English at St. John’s University in St. Cloud, Minnesota and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. |
