Charles A. Deluzio is managing partner of the Greensburg and Jeannette offices of DTA Certified Public Accountants, a division of Malin, Bergquist & Company, LLP, one of the oldest and largest certified public accounting firms in those cities, with offices also in Pittsburgh and Erie.With more than three decades of service to small, closely held businesses in Western Pennsylvania, Chuck is as much a senior-level adviser and confidante to business leaders as he is an experienced tax accountant. This has ranged from coaching and negotiations during mergers/acquisitions to succession planning and psychological preparation for clients when considering options for exit strategies. He understands that judgment and personality play a large role in the often emotionally charged atmosphere of building a business, overcoming difficult growth obstacles and ultimately realizing the full potential of its value. Chuck heads the Small Business Department of the firm’s Pittsburgh, Jeannette and Greensburg offices. He and his team have worked together for many years, and provide services to some of the best-known companies and non-profit organizations in the region, with a broad network of contacts in the professional, business and not-for-profit communities.Among Chuck’s clients are businesses in the fields of medicine and dentistry, beverages, plastics, wholesale and retail sales, estates and trusts, industrial manufacturing and restaurants. As a result, he understands certain key financial benchmarks, unique to these industries, which impact a company’s viability and value.Chuck has represented a client before the Internal Revenue Service in obtaining a private letter ruling with regard to conversion of individual retirement accounts, which saved a five-figure amount for the client.Active in the community, Chuck is a member of the board of directors of Jeannette Mercy Hospital. He is incoming president of Catholic Charities of Greensburg Diocese and a past president of the Jeannette Kiwanis Club.Chuck began his career in 1975, and received his bachelor of science degree in accounting in 1978 from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.As the parents of four, Chuck and his wife Sharon also have two grandsons. |
