Charles A. McMonagle is vice president and treasurer for Sempra Energy, a San Diego-based Fortune 500 energy services holding company whose subsidiaries provide electricity, natural gas and value-added products and services. The Sempra Energy companies' 14,000 employees serve more than 29 million consumers in the United States, Europe, Canada, Mexico, South America and Asia.
In his current job, McMonagle oversees financing, cash management, insurance, and pension and nuclear decommissioning trust investments.
Prior to the merger that formed Sempra Energy in 1998, McMonagle was manager of Financial Services at Enova Corp., the parent company of San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E). McMonagle joined SDG&E in 1982 and held a range of jobs in the company’s financial operations.
McMonagle has master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Washington and in engineering from the University of California. |
