Charles Barnett joins the Alpine Group as a Vice President after serving as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-AR). He was a member of Sen. Lincoln's staff since working on her first Senate campaign in Arkansas. During his tenure with Senator Lincoln Mr. Barnett was a senior advisor on energy policy environmental issues and transportation-related matters. In this capacity he concentrated on energy supply the comprehensive energy bill conservation and energy related tax incentives. He also focused on environmental law and regulation as well as resource issues.
Prior to serving Senator Lincoln Mr. Barnett was a Chemical Engineer with Genesis Environmental Consulting in Little Rock Arkansas. While there he was responsible for the development of specific projects involving air pollution control and modeling water and wastewater design and permitting solid waste facility oversight and construction and hazardous waste management and disposal.
Mr. Barnett was previously employed by the Hazardous Waste Department of the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality where he was involved with many aspects of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) permitting for facilities in Arkansas. He also conducted Superfund site inspections for the State of Arkansas and assisted in the preparation of cleanup procedures for these sites.
A 1997 graduate of the University of Arkansas Mr. Barnett received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and concentrated on environmental applications of chemical engineering. |
