Charlene Rothkopf is responsible for the Human Resources function of AvalonBay Communities including Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, HR Systems, Employment, Associate Relations, Communications, and Training & Development.
Prior to joining AvalonBay in 2000, Charlene was founder and President of Human Capital Group, a management consulting firm specializing in strategic planning and Human Resource Development. From 1996 to 1999, she was Vice President of Operations Human Resources for Host Marriott Services Corporation, and from 1993 to 1996 she was Vice President of Human Resources Planning and Development for Host Marriott Corporation. From 1983 to 1993, Charlene was employed by Marriott Corporation in a variety of positions including Director of Benefit Operations and Director of Training & Development.
Charlene holds an Undergraduate Degree and a Master’s Degree in Administration and supervision from the University of Maryland, and she performed doctoral work at George Washington University in Human Resources Development and Management Science. |
