Charlene spent 8 years with two major global retained executive search firms. She co-managed a major worldwide pharmaceutical account and conducted global executive search and human capital services. Charlene worked with both new and emerging companies as well as established public entities. She advised them on matters of recruitment and retention of executives as well as board composition and governance. She also provided counsel on business strategy and planning. After earning her doctorate in Biological Science from Florida State University, she was awarded a prestigious New Investigator Award from the National Institutes of Health. Charlene has over 15 years of medical, clinical and pharmaceutical industry experience. She was with Astra Merck, Inc, where she was responsible for business development activities for their cornerstone drug, Prilosec as well as for strategic planning for the follow-on to Prilosec, Nexium. Earlier, she was president of her own consulting business which focused on the medical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. |
