Designed seismic anchorage and bracing for nonstructural components at the Marvin Windows & Doors facility in Ripley, TN.
Performed seismic analysis and restraint design for nonstructural components of the Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg, TN.
Provided seismic design services for nonstructural equipment and systems under St. Louis county ordinance for a major manufacturing facility.
Prior to CCS Group:
Schrand completed assignments related to new building design, renovation, seismic analysis and retrofit, progressive collapse analysis, and earthquake and hurricane risk management. Early in his career, he was a research assistant for the Construction Engineers Research Laboratory of the US Corp of Engineers and employed by a major, Illinois-based engineering firm. As such, he assisted in the structural investigations on the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and the World Trade Center in New York, New York In the wake of Hurricane Charlie in 2004, he provided disaster relief and recovery services to residents in Florida. Schrand is fluent in structural analysis and design software including SAP2000, ETABS, PCACol, RAM Structural System, and AutoCAD.
Schrand is a registered structural engineer in Illinois and a registered professional engineer in Missouri and Indiana.
Schrand is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Institute of Steel Construction.
Schrand is a graduate of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in civil engineering. |
