Chad Drown is an associate with the intellectual property group in the firm’s Minneapolis office. Chad’s practice is focused on patent litigation and trials. Chad has argued over 20 motions in Federal Court and has developed the strategy for several patent infringement trials. He has litigated cases for 3M, Seagate Technology, and other leading companies. Chad was on the trial team for the plaintiff in the patent infringement case, Floe International Inc. et al. v. Newman’s Manufacturing Inc., Civ. No. 04-1520 (D. Minn. 2006), in which, following a seven-day trial, the jury found willful infringement and the Court awarded double damages, attorneys fees, and a permanent injunction. Chad first-chaired and won the inequitable conduct phase of the trial. |
