Chad Alexander, who spent 2 years as the team's West area scout, is now covering the Midwest for the Ravens. Alexander scouts schools from the Big Ten, Conference USA and some schools in the MAC and Big 12 Conferences. Chad annually represents the Ravens at the NFL Draft in New York City.
Alexander joined the Ravens in June, 1999, as a pro personnel assistant. In his 1st 4 years, he worked with the pro personnel staff to scout free agents and assisted with advance scouting reports of Ravens opponents. He also monitored NFL practice squads, ranking players for potential signings. Chad scouted colleges in the fall, visiting a number of campuses across the country for cross-checking duties.
After his 4-year career as a FB at Wake Forest, Alexander spent a year working with behavioral disorder elementary school children in Minneapolis, MN.
An All-District football selection at Coppell (TX) HS, Chad also ran track for the Coppell Cowboys. He is the son of Hubbard Alexander, a former NFL WRs coach who won 2 championships while coaching receivers at the University of Miami (1983, 1987) and 3 while coaching the Dallas Cowboys' receivers (1992, 1993, & 1995). Chad has a daughter, Morgan Aliyah (5), and resides in Memphis, TN. |
