Cedric McMinn is a lobbyist with the Firm’s Governmental Relations Group. He is very active in government at all levels. He served as a volunteer coordinator for the John Kerry Presidential Campaign, as a Miami-Dade County Elections poll worker, and as Legislative Assistant to Rep. Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall in the Florida House of Representatives. Cedric has held numerous leadership positions. In college, he served as Lower Division Representative for Student Government Association, President of the Interfraternity Council, Vice-Present of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, an Orientation Leader, and Resident Assistant to name a few. Because of his extensive involvement, he earned the distinguished title of Mr. FIU. He contributes his time at numerous events such as host of FIU’s Freshman Convocation, judge at FIU Homecoming events, and alumni volunteer for FIU’s Dance Marathon. He also serves as the Vice President of Political Affairs for the Miami-Dade Young Democrats Club. Cedric is accustomed to working with elected officials in both parties. He has coordinated Legislative Town Hall Meetings, educational workshops, and press conferences to address a myriad of issues that affect their diverse communities.
