Governor Andrus joined the PCS Board of Directors in November 1995. Following his retirement from public service in January 1995, Mr. Andrus founded and now directs the Andrus Center for Public Policy at Boise State University. Governor Andrus is the first person in the history of Idaho to be elected Governor four different times (1970, 1974, 1986, and 1990). When he retired from public office, he was the senior governor in the United States in length of service. Mr. Andrus resigned as governor in 1977 to become the Secretary of the Interior in the Carter Administration, the first Idahoan to serve in a Presidential Cabinet. Governor Andrus is a former Director of Albertsons and KeyCorp, and a current Director of The Coeur D'Alene Company and Rentrak Corp. He also serves "Of Counsel" to the Gallatin Group, a public affairs and corporate analysis Company, and the Andrus Center for Public Policy at Boise State University. |
