Cator Sparks may live in far flung Harlem and dress more for the Essex House than for Essex Street, but he can win a tastemaker dual any day. Cator constantly has his finger on the pulse of what is new and exciting because of his non-stop social swinging, freelance writing assignments and work with the streetwear superstars, The Brand Pimps.
Hailing from the deep South, Cator moved to New York City to help open the eponymous Jeffrey boutique in the now uber trendy Meat Packing District. Since then he has worked in fashion show production, public relations and has written for The New York Times, Clear, Flaunt, Surface and Out Traveler to name just a few.
His love of all things alcoholic keeps him up too late many a night meeting new designers, artists and rowdy socialites who all keep him up to date with the latest trends, tips and of course, scandal |
