Cathy Elliott is a partner in the Litigation Group, practicing primarily in the areas of business and commercial litigation. She represents clients in a variety of matters involving all types of contract disputes, partner and shareholder disputes, dissolutions of business associations, shareholder derivative actions, real estate matters and commercial landlord / tenant matters. She also handles cases involving breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, conversion, employee theft and embezzlement, and pursuing recovery of misappropriated funds. Prior to pursuing her law degree, Ms. Elliott spent several years working as a buyer for a national retail clothing company. Ms. Elliott is licensed to practice law in both Indiana and Florida. She is admitted to practice before the Indiana State Bar, the Florida Bar, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana and the Middle District of Florida, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Representative Matters
o Defended the developer of a business park in an action by shareholders trying to oust the developer.
o Represented the owner of a truck terminal in an action by a tenant to enforce an option to purchase.
o Served as counsel for a home owner to prevent a major cellular service provider from constructing a cell tower on a neighbor's property.
o Represented a waste removal company in an action by group of citizens trying to prevent the client from expanding a landfill.
o Published Opinion: Edgeworth-Laskey Properties LLC v. New Boston Allison Limited Partnership, 793 N.E.2d 298 (Ind. Ct. App. 2003)
