Cathy Brewis is the director of marketing at The News Tribune. She moved to that post in 2003. She has also served The News Tribune since 1971 as director of employee and community relations, advertising director, director of research and promotion, research manager and research clerk.
Cathy Brewis has been an active volunteer in Tacoma including service as a board member and executive committee member of the YWCA, Safe Streets, the Chamber of Commerce, Washington Research Council, the Better Business Bureau, The United Way, Broadway Theater District and Christmas House. She has supported education in the community through the Werlin Reading Program, tutoring at Stanley Elementary School, at Tacoma Community House, WWEE, the UPS Board of Trustees, and as a founder of the Pierce County Literacy Coalition. She has also served the American Red Cross, St. Joseph Hospital, the Broadway Theater District, Ft. Steilacoom Community College Displaced Homemakers, and Greater Lakes Mental Health Youth Suicide program.
She is a 1971 graduate of the University of Puget Sound. Cathy and her husband, Greg, live in Tacoma. Their three children and one grandchild live in Tacoma and Seattle. |
