Ms. Heintz has handles a wide range of civil litigation including insurance coverage and bad faith, personal injury, premises liability, oil and gas, construction defects, products liability, pharmaceutical mass tort, and ERISA. Her career includes over ten years inside the insurance industry before beginning her career in law, including compliance, contracts and underwriting. Ms. Heintz attended the University of Denver College of Law and Widener University School of Law, completing her legal education at the University of Denver College of Law in 1998. Ms. Heintz’s academic distinctions include serving on the Editorial Board of the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy at the University of Denver College of Law from 1997-1998. In 1998 she was the winner, alternate, of the Leonard v. B. Sutton Award for International Studies at the University of Denver College of Law. In 1986 she received her Bachelor of Arts in German and Comparative Literature from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Ms. Heintz was an exchange student to Friedrich Wilhelms Universität in Bonn, Germany from 1985-1986. She has also spoken before the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management on ERISA matters. Ms. Heintz was admitted to practice law in Colorado in 1999, the United States District Court, District of Colorado, in 2002 and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit in 2006. Ms. Heintz is a member of the Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Division of the American Bar Association, and a member of the Colorado, Arapahoe County and the Douglas and Ebert Counties Bar Associations. She is a member of the Denver Claims Association, a Steering Committee member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, Southwest Chapter, and a member of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, and the Defense Research Institute.
