Catherine Marino, MD joined MagnaCare in December of 2002 as Chief Medical Officer. In this position, Dr. Marino oversees the network's medical management, physician performance and utilization review.A graduate of Fordham University with a BA in Biology, and State University of New York- Downstate Medical School, Dr. Marino also has a Master's in Health Administration from Hofstra University.Dr. Marino brings over 25 years of clinical and administrative experience to MagnaCare and is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. She has served as a Chair of a Department of Medicine for Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens, a Senior Vice President for Administration within that same system and as the Chief Medical Officer/ Vice President for Medical Affairs for University Hospital-Downstate Medical Center and University Hospital- UMDNJ in Newark, New Jersey. For many years, Dr. Marino maintained an active clinical practice.Dr. Marino has authored or co-authored over thirty publications in medical journals and holds the title of Professor of Medicine at the New Jersey Medical School- UMDNJ. She has recently been included in the Castle Connelly Best Doctors in America. |
