Catherine M. Parente, CPA/ABV, CVA, CFE, CFFA, is a partner in CCR's Litigation Support and Business Valuation Services Group, and is the partner-in-charge of the firm's Providence, Rhode Island office. She is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Valuation Analyst, a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Forensic Financial Analyst with more than 30 years of public accounting experience and is a member of the Executive Committee at CCR. Ms. Parente is a summa cum laude graduate of Bryant College where she received a BS in Business Administration. She has also done post-graduate study at Bryant College and the University of Rhode Island. She began her career in 1978 with Murphy & Company, which later became Suls, Westgate & Parente, LLP where she was a partner. In January 2000, Suls, Westgate & Parente, LLP merged into Carlin, Charron & Rosen, LLP. Ms. Parente's experience includes working with privately owned businesses. She consults with clients in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, forecasting and projections and in obtaining debt and capital financing. Catherine also performs valuations of closely-held businesses and performs fraud examinations and forensic accounting services. She has been qualified numerous times as an expert in federal and state courts in connection with litigation matters. She has served as a board member and held officer positions for several civic and charitable organizations. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the RI Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. |
