Catherine Intravia practices in technology and property matters, both real and intellectual property. She works extensively in technology and intellectual property matters, including drafting, analyzing and negotiating technology procurement agreements, trademark prosecution and licensing, copyright prosecution and licensing, e-commerce matters, Web site development, enhancement and hosting agreements, e-signatures, software and technology licensing, outsourcing agreements, strategic alliances, and mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Intravia also practices in real estate matters, including real estate acquisition and development projects, utility easements and residential real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Shipman & Goodwin, Ms. Intravia worked in system engineering and technical marketing for a major software and hardware provider with responsibilities for technical marketing, customer system support and system installation of complex software and hardware systems in multinational accounts. Ms. Intravia has written and lectured on legal topics relating primarily to intellectual property protection and corporate transactions.
Ms. Intravia is a member of the American, Connecticut and Hartford County Bar Associations. She is a member of the Computer Law Section, Intellectual Property Section, and Real Property Section of the Connecticut Bar Association; the Intellectual Property Section and Real Property Section of the American Bar Association; the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the International Trademark Association (INTA). Ms. Intravia is co-chair of the CLE Committee for the Special Committee on Gaming and Virtual Worlds for the American Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Section. Ms. Intravia is an active member in the INTA organization and has acted as host for INTA Roundtables at the Shipman & Goodwin offices. Ms. Intravia is also active in the Connecticut Technology Council and is co-leader of the Greater Hartford Technology Cell which meets on a monthly basis.
