Catherine D. Paffenroth has been vice president, human resources for Ottaway Newspapers since 2005. She started in Ottaway's accounting department, became chief accountant and was named director of employee relations in 1988. She was promoted to assistant vice president, employee relations, in 1994 and assistant vice president, human resources, in 2003.
Ms. Paffenroth received a bachelor's degree in finance from Mercy College. She is a past member of the board of directors of the Media Human Resources Association.
