Catharine Newberry has been our Senior Vice President Human Resources and Chief Human Strategy Officer since February 2006. Prior to joining us she held various positions with sanofi aventis including Deputy Vice President People Development (2005) HR Integration Officer (July 2004-December 2004) Vice President Human Resources Strategy (2003-July 2004). She came to the pharma group after fourteen years with the vaccine business of sanofi pasteur where she held the positions of Senior Vice President Human Resources (August 1998-2002) Vice President Executive Compensation and Development (1997-July 1998) and Vice President Human Resources for the US business unit (1989-1996). Her career in pharmaceuticals began at SmithKline Beckman where she held a variety of positions from 1980-1989. Catharine holds a BA in History from Swarthmore College and a MS in Human Resources Development from American University/NTL. |
